Safety is always important behind the wheel and Ford is coming at at safety from all directions in Arizona. Sharpening the skills of teenage drivers is one way to make driving safer for all of us. Ford's award-winning Driving Skills for Life program has teamed up with the Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety to help young drivers develop safe driving practices.



Safe drivers need to also keep their cars safe. Ford dealerships in Arizona and around the nation offer free Car Care Clinics to educate young women on basic car maintenance and safety. Change a tire, jump start a battery, it's all part of Ford's partnership with SafeSmartWomen (S2W).
Safe drivers certainly want their passengers to be safe. Córazon de mi vida - "You are the center of my life" - is a national bilingual child passenger safety campaign created by the National Latino Children's Institute. Ford is a key partner in this effort to teach the proper use of child safety seats.



Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies (Ford PAS) is helping Arizona high schools provide students with a challenging, real-world education that will give them an advantage in the workplace of tomorrow. This innovative program - which touches 17,000 students in 25 states nationwide - connects high schools with colleges and businesses to promote future success for students.



For years, Ford Motor Company has been a major supporter of Arizona State University. The company has given millions of dollars to fund scholarships, fellowships, sustainability programs and other efforts to enrich the learning experience for students at ASU and create a better living environment for people in Arizona.



Ford is a valued partner and leading sponsor of the Hispanic Women's Conference. Held annually in Phoenix, the conference is the largest gathering of Hispanic women in the nation. Proceeds from this annual event provide scholarships for students and leadership opportunities for attendees.

Ford supports Rebuilding Together - Valley of the Sun and its mission to spread the spirit of volunteerism in the Phoenix area by helping low-income elderly and disabled homeowners with home repairs and renovation.



Ford raises more money nationally for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) than any other corporate sponsor. Ford's commitment includes the Desert Southwest Chapter of JDRF, which holds three Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraisers each year, raising millions of dollars for research. The Phoenix-based chapter also sponsors the annual Promise Balll to help realize the promise of a cure.



Each year, the Susan G. Komen Pheonix Race for the Cure plays an important role in advancing breast cancer research and awareness projects in Central and Northern Arizona. Ford sponsors this grassroots effort that keeps most of the money raised right here to benefit people in our local communities.




Ford Motor Company has supported the United Food Bank in Mesa with financial contributions for the past six years. Ford volunteers also have donated their time to help feed the hungry in the East Valley at places such as Paz de Cristo.




Ford's Global Week of Caring brings out Ford Motor Company volunteers from the National Recovery Center in Mesa to help in their local communities. Organizations such as the American Red Cross and the United Way benefit from the blood drives, fundraisers, collections and cleanups that were all part of the activities to give back and show we care.
