Nearly 1,000 students in eight Nashville-area high schools are currently benefiting from a unique real-world education through Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies (Ford PAS). This innovative program, which touches 17,000 students in 25 states nationwide, connects high schools with colleges and businesses to better prepare students for post-secondary education and the workplace.


Ford Driving Skills for Life is a hands-on educational program created by Ford to keep teens safe. Through web-based learning, free classroom materials and ride-and-drive events in communities across the nation, including Middle Tennessee. Driving Skills for Life focuses on the key areas that are critical to safe driving.


Ford Motor Company raises more money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) than any other corporate sponsor. For nearly a decade, Ford employees have worked together to raise millions of dollars for research into a cure. Nashville's Global Walk Team enthusiastically participates in JDRF's annual Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraiser, raising $630,000 since participation began.
Ford recently launched the See Me Safe child safety seat program in partnership with Nashville's Meharry Medical College. These hands-on training clinics operate in conjunction with local healthcare professionals to train parents and caregivers on proper installation and use.


Thanks to dedicated Ford employees who take the issue of hunger seriously, the company was among the largest donor organizations to Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee last year. For a recent drive, each local Ford employee donated an average of 10 pounds of food.


Ford employees volunteer time in the classroom, teaching more than 100 classes on business and economics in local schools each year through Junior Achievement. Organizer Suzanne Bingham was recently honored for these efforts when George W. Bush personally presented her with the President's Volunteer Service Award.

Each fall, Ford Motor Company volunteers spend time helping their communities during Ford's Global Week of Caring. Among the Nashville efforts was a golf tournament that raised nearly $70,000 for the Our Kids Center, which provides expert services to local children.


Ford Motor Company is proud to partner with Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt with its family centered care and focus on child and injury prevention.


Ford supports the ongoing efforts of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to preserve the rich history of country music. Ford's role as a founding partner is reflected in the Ford Theater concert venue, in educational programs such as the Songwriter Sessions, and in the major new Hank Williams exhibition.


Ford dealerships offer free car-safety clinics around the nation and Ford Motor Company supports safe-driving programs through SmartSafeWomen (S2W) and Nashville's Conexion Americas as well as its own Driving Skills for Life program.
